We understand that tuition may be a factor in choosing your educational child care. Our tuition is based on the classroom the child is enrolled. In order for you to obtain the most accurate information about tuition, and for us to gain a full understanding of your family’s needs, please contact our preschool and schedule a tour. We offer a full-time program (no part-time childcare, no drop-ins, except for alumni students, if there is space) that covers a full year schedule. We enroll throughout the year contingent upon classroom availability. All registration fees must be paid and forms must be completed and turned in before your child may start school.
- TOG (The Octopus Garden) offers a Sibling Discount.
- Tuition is due weekly by the close of business every Tuesday. Late fees will apply to accounts not paid when due.
- Continued Tuition Policy: Because our program is year round, to ensure that our operating expenses are covered, our tuition must remain constant throughout the year. Regular weekly tuition will be due on weeks in which the school is closed for inclement weather according to RISD closures. Your regular weekly rate is due when your child is out because of illness. The Octopus Garden does not offer a vacation week for its families. There will not be discounts given for holidays or inclement weather closures that may occur during the school week.
Summer Break (June, July, August)
If a parent chooses to take a child out of school for the summer months, there is no guarantee of space available for them in the fall. The Octopus Garden will attempt to fill all vacant spaces with permanent families. This will ensure that The Octopus Garden will continue to run on the same budget as the other nine months of the year. Again, the parent is fully aware that their child’s spot may not be available when they wish to return. If a spot is not available, the family may re-enroll by placing them on the waiting list and paying all the applicable enrollment fees.
Withdrawal
In order to withdraw from The Octopus Garden, you are required to fill out a ‘notice to withdraw’ form and give written two weeks’ notice. If you fail to do so, you will still be financially responsible for two additional weeks after you are gone.
